• Health Information Disclaimer (not a Covered Entity:  While we handle sensitive information regarding congenital heart defects, The Drew Heart Foundation,, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) support organization and is not a healthcare provider, health plan or healthcare clearinghouse.  Therefore, we are not a “Covered Entity” under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). However we treat all medical and family information with the highest level of confidentiality and security, in accordance with this Policy.

We use the information we collect to fulfill our nonprofit mission, including:

• To provide tailored support, resources, and services to your family.

• Processing your online donations and issuing tax-deductible receipts.

• Sending newsletter updates, event invitations, and CHD resource materials.

• Responding to your questions, support inquiries, or volunteer applications.

• Complying with state fundraising regulations and IRS reporting requirements, or other legal or regulatory obligations.
